Bringing Hope to Schoolchildren in Sierra Leone

In a small school in Sierra Leone, something remarkable happened this December. Many of the students come from poor families and diverse faith backgrounds, and while they attend school regularly, faith was often something distant—an idea rather than a personal commitment.

David, a dedicated CHE trainer, felt called to share the gospel in his community. Equipped with a Jesus film projector, he has been traveling from school to school, village to village, showing films that bring the message of Christ to life. But his work doesn’t stop there. After each showing, he initiates Community Health Evangelism (CHE) programs, combining spiritual transformation with practical development initiatives.

A New Beginning for 40 Children

On a recent visit, as David presented the gospel after a Jesus film showing, 40 students made a life-changing decision. They prayed to accept Jesus Christ into their lives, marking a new spiritual beginning for them. As Christmas approached, David lifted them up in prayer, asking for God’s protection and presence to guide them through this new journey.

Measuring Impact Beyond Numbers

While 40 students accepting Christ is a powerful number, the true impact goes deeper. These children are now entering a journey of faith that will shape their values, families, and communities. The ripple effect of one school encounter could transform generations to come.

David’s work demonstrates how evangelism and practical development go hand in hand. By combining faith with tangible community impact through CHE programs, he is building not just believers, but future leaders who will uplift their own communities.

A Call to Action

Stories like this remind us that even small acts of faithfulness can lead to incredible transformation. David’s commitment to reaching children through film, prayer, and practical training is an inspiration to all of us.

As we step into the new year, let’s pray for:
🙏 More opportunities to reach schools and communities with the gospel.
🙏 Strength and provision for CHE trainers like David who are carrying the message forward.
🙏 Lasting transformation in the lives of these 40 children and beyond.
