MAI’s partners on the ground in South Sudan report a dire need for immediate assistance. Many internally displaced people sought refuge in a local school but had to vacate as classes resumed on February 17th. With the rainy season looming just two months away, the displaced farming population faces a critical situation. They have been unable to prepare their land for planting, raising alarming concerns of famine in the months ahead.
Urgent Needs
-
Shelter and Essential Supplies: Families are currently exposed to the elements, lacking adequate shelter and essential supplies like food, clean water, and medical supplies.
-
Medical Care and Disease Prevention: There is a significant risk of Malaria outbreaks due to the displaced living in unsanitary conditions without access to proper healthcare.
-
Trauma Healing: The affected communities are in urgent need of trauma healing services to cope with the emotional and psychological impact of the violence and displacement.
Please pray for healing and restoration in these devastated communities.
