Pakistan: 1,000+ Killed by Monsoon Rains and Floods

August 28, 2022

Severe rains and flooding have killed at least 1,033 people in Pakistan, with 119 killed in the last 24 hours, the National Disaster Management Authority says.

A CHE team leader sent photos to give a glimpse into the reality of their hardship.

The continued rain has caused severe loss of property and crops in communities. One of the worst affected areas is The Thar Desert, Sindh province in Southern Pakistan. The CHE team has been helping by providing tarps, health checks, and cleaning wounds. The CHE team leader is requesting prayer and funds for medical aid, food, mosquito nets, repellents, and tarps.
